What we store

• Account: your email and, if the sign-in provider sends one, your name (from Firebase Authentication).
• Your topics: topics, ratings, notes and session summaries you save, visible only to your account.
• Voice sessions: when they started and ended, how long they ran and why they ended, plus the summary of what was said. We never store audio. Transcripts are kept only if you turn on Keep transcripts in Settings.
• Tokens and billing: your plan, your token balance and its history, and your Stripe customer id. Card details stay with Stripe.
• Free-token checks: one-way hashes of your email address and of a random id stored in your browser, so the free tokens are given once per person.
• Consent: when you agreed to the voice terms, and which version.

Talking to an AI

Voice sessions are a conversation with an AI, not a person. Audio streams from your browser to our AI provider and is processed live; neither the provider nor we keep it, and we ask the provider not to store sessions. After a session of 2 minutes or more, the transcript is summarized by AI and the summary is saved to your topic.

Text chats work the same way: your messages are sent to our AI provider to write each reply and are not stored by us or the provider. When you end a chat, it is summarized by AI and only the summary is saved to your topic.

Why we use it (lawful basis)

• To run your account, topics, voice sessions and summaries: contract.
• To bill plans and top-ups and keep tax records: contract and legal obligation.
• To keep transcripts for 90 days: your consent, which you can withdraw in Settings at any time.
• To stop the free tokens being claimed twice and to prevent abuse: legitimate interest.
• Analytics (counts of a few events, no topic text, no summaries, no email): your consent where the law requires it.

Who processes it for us

• Cloudflare: hosting and database (Cloudflare Workers and Cloudflare D1).
• Google Firebase: sign-in. Google Analytics: usage counts, only with your consent where required.
• Cloudflare: hosting and, where we enable it, Web Analytics, which counts page visits without cookies and without tracking you across sites.
• OpenAI: AI provider for the live voice conversation and summaries.
• Stripe: payments, invoices and tax.
• Cloudflare Turnstile: a bot check on your first voice session.

Some of these companies are based in the United States. Transfers outside the EU rely on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and, where they apply, the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

What we do not do

We do not sell your data, and we do not use your conversations to train AI models.

Your choices and rights

In Settings you can turn Keep transcripts on or off, delete all transcripts now, export everything we hold about you as JSON, and delete your account. Deleting your account cancels any subscription and removes your topics, sessions, summaries, transcripts, voice records, token history, consents and API tokens. You can also ask us to access, correct, restrict or erase your data, object to processing, or complain to the Portuguese data protection authority (CNPD) or your local one.
